Biography

Anna is a licensed therapist from Texas, driven by a lifelong passion for helping others. Her personal experience with counseling—despite the cultural stigma often present in Asian communities—deeply influenced her and inspired her to support others on their healing journeys.

As a Third Culture Kid (TCK), Anna grew up moving between countries, which shaped her multicultural perspective and deepened her empathy for those navigating complex identity and transitional experiences. She was born in Korea, but she received most of her education in the United States and spent her teenage years in Taiwan. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling, following earlier studies in Art, both completed in Dallas, Texas.

Anna’s professional experience spans diverse populations and backgrounds. She has lived and worked internationally, most recently in Jordan, where she served as a guidance counselor at an international school and supported students with special needs. Her clinical training includes working with probation clients, cancer outpatients, individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and expatriates of all ages. She has additional experience in marital counseling, play therapy, and addiction counseling.

Anna’s areas of focus include multicultural identity, life transitions, trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. She also offers faith-based counseling for clients who wish to integrate spirituality into their therapeutic journey.

Anna brings a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and integrative approach to her practice, offering clients a safe space to explore, heal, and grow.

Therapy Approach

My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, grounded in the understanding that each individual brings a unique set of experiences, backgrounds, and needs. I tailor each session to support the individual’s well-being, often drawing on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, and Motivational Interviewing.

I view therapy as a collaborative journey, and it is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their paths toward healing and self-discovery. I strive to meet each person where they are, listening with empathy and without judgment. In a world where many feel isolated or overwhelmed, I aim to create a safe, supportive space for growth and reflection.

My goal is to guide clients in uncovering their inner strengths, fostering self-awareness, and empowering them to become the best versions of themselves. I believe that meaningful progress stems from open communication, trust, and a strong therapeutic alliance. Together, we work to develop personalized goals and strategies that promote resilience, self-acceptance, and greater fulfillment in life.

I am here to support, encourage, and walk with you on your journey.
